About Us

This is a team—designed for your success!

Heather Desmond relocated with her family from the San Jose area following a hi-tech career in Silicon Valley. Changing careers to real estate, she gained expertise in Central Coast Real Estate through 14 years of high-energy, hands-on experience. In positions of buyers and sellers agent, listing agent, and Real Estate business co-owner, Heather has managed all the steps expected of a top producer. Her successful transactions from San Miguel to Santa Barbara and from Creston to Cambria led to the conclusion that an international agency with premier recognition was exactly what Central Coast clients needed and were looking for.

Sotheby’s perfectly fit that description and Heather joined in 2013. This Templeton location at Home and Ranch Realty is located right in the center of the Central Coast territory.

My goal is making every transaction be seamless and easy for my clients. Whether they are buyers or sellers or whether the property is small or sprawling, I will use all the tools and personnel at my disposal to create a great outcome!

Heather leads the team by being the focal point of your transaction. Her associates at her office in Home and Ranch Sotheby’s International Realty, in Templeton, have decades of skills for every property type one can imagine.

Melanie BryanMelanie Bryan –  Heather’s Right Hand

In a fast-paced industry, successful leaders have a partner to rely on and to bounce ideas off of, to check and re-check the information and to cover for them when it’s necessary.

Melanie Bryan sets the bar high!

As a Real Estate agent for 12 years, (BRE # 01712579), Melanie has spent most of her career perfecting the definition of a Transaction Co-Ordinator. Heather and Melanie have a simple goal; make every transaction seamless and flawless. Once the buyers and sellers are happy, the terms are reached and smiles are appearing, then it’s time to make those mountains of papers all be perfect. Both parties want that. The lending agency demands it. Every other agency that somehow gets involved in the deal, is looking for perfection.

This is what a true Transaction Co-ordinator does. Make it right! Loan docs, septic / soils / grading reports, APN #’s, terms and conditions, contact info, permits, property history, easements, and the list goes on.

And, even with all that, now and then, there can still be a misfire. But the question is: when that happens, who has the expertise and experience to fix it? That’s exactly when you thank the stars that you chose the HD RET (Heather Desmond Real Estate Team) and know that Melanie has it under control.
